Pamela Agoyo

Pamela Agoyo is the Director of UNM’s American Indian Student Services and Special Assistant to the President for American Indian Affairs. She earned a BA in Psychology, a BA in Sociology, and a MA in Organizational Learning & Instructional Technology from UNM.  Ms. Agoyo’s 25-year professional career has focused primarily in the areas of Student Affairs & Student Development - she has served the University of New Mexico in a number of capacities including: Director of Student Union Recreational Services; Recruitment Specialist for the Office of Admissions & Outreach Services; Director of Minority Recruitment & Retention; and Scholarship Outreach Coordinator for the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.  She currently holds a Letter of Academic Title as Lecturer for the UNM School of Medicine’s Family & Community Medicine Department; is a member of the College Board National SAT Committee, the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators, and the National Academic Advising Association; and is the National Co-Chair of the College Board Native American Student Advocacy Institute.  She is the former Executive Director of the National Institute for Native Leadership in Higher Education (NINLHE) and a former Special Education Teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Ralph Arellanes

Ralph Arellanes is the State Director for New Mexico LULAC and is a member of the National LULAC Board of Directors.  Ralph is the Chairman of the Hispano Roundtable of New Mexico.  The Hispano Roundtable of New Mexico is a coalition of over 50 Hispano organizations in New

Mexico with over 50,000 members statewide.  Ralph is the Founder of the Hispanic Statement of Cooperation (HSOC) & ENLACE New Mexico.  The HSOC is the largest and most comprehensive partnership in the history of New Mexico between the Hispano community, educational institutions, government institutions, public and private industry and grass roots organizations.  The HSOC has brought in millions of dollars to New Mexico in education and to the National Hispanic Cultural Center.  Through these positions and agreements, Ralph formed

The Task Force to create the Hispanic Education Act in New Mexico (2010) and he has been an advocate for the Hispano/Latino community in education, employment, economic development, land and water rights, civil rights and social justice his entire life.  Ralph holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance and an MBA degree in Management, Finance and Economics.  Ralph was born and raised in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Sandra Begay-Campbell

Sandra Begay-Campbell is a Principal Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories and is a former Regent (Trustee) for the University of New Mexico.  Sandra leads Sandia’s technical efforts to assist Native American tribes with their renewable energy developments.  Sandra received a Bachelor of Science – Civil Engineering degree from the University of New Mexico.  She worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories before she earned a Master of Science – Structural Engineering degree from Stanford University.

Sandra is a recent recipient of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society’s Life-time Achievement Award; the University of New Mexico’s 2007 Zia Alumnus Award; the 2005 UNM School of Engineering Distinguished Alumnus Award and she received the Stanford University 2000 Multicultural Alumni of the Year Award.  She was also selected as a recipient of the Governor's Award for Outstanding Women from the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women.  Sandra is recognized in a book profiling women engineers, “Changing Our World: True Stories of Women Engineers." Begay-Campbell is included in the chapter "Women in Power", which describes her effort to provide electricity through solar panels and other alternative energy solutions to hundreds of remote tribal members on the Navajo Reservation.

Charles Randy Briggs

Charles Randy Briggs is currently the President of the Board of Regent’s at Western New Mexico University.  WNMU recently completed a search for President, who started July 2011.  Randy is a native of Carlsbad and a graduate of Carlsbad High School, the University of New Mexico and the University of Houston where he received a Doctor of Optometry degree.  He is currently owner and manager of Briggs Properties Company, an owner and manager of commercial properties in New Mexico and Colorado, as well as founder, president and CEO of HomeLoan USA Corp.  Briggs is also founder and director of F.A.S.T. NM a non-profit organization, dedicated to educating teachers and promoting reading among the New Mexico children using the F.A.S.T. method.  He is also a former member of the New Mexico Board of Examiners in Optometry, and a current Board Member of the Taos Art Museum.  In 2006 Briggs served on the Selection Committee for a new UNM Athletic Director and the Executive Committee of the New Mexico Bowl.

Bernard E. “Gig” Brummell

Bernard E. “Gig” Brummell has a BBA-Marketing with Graduate Studies in Economics from UNM.  Brummel was a member of the UNM Basketball and Baseball teams from 1957-1961.  He was all-conference Baseball, Lobo Athlete of the year in 1961, and played professional Baseball (Minor League)-Oakland Athletics.  He was named to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities and was an Inductee – UNM Athletic Hall of Honor.  Brummell is an Anderson School of Management Inductee – ASM Hall of Fame, a past member of the Dean’s Council and ASM Hall of Fame Inductee Endowment member.  He was a member of UNM President William Gordon’s Advisory Council, a current member of UNM Athletic Council, a member of UNM’s Athletic Director Search Committee and a past member of UNM Alumni Board of Directors.  Brummell is retired and was a Branch Manager with Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley and was named one of the top five managers in the firm.  He is on the Sandia Foundation Board of Directors, Chairman-Investment Committee, Archdiocese of Santa Fe Finance Council, Investment Advisor-Archdiocese Retirement Fund and serves on various boards and committees in the community.

William Scott Carreathers

William Scott Carreathers is the Director of African American Student Services.  He has been employed at UNM since 1994, as a Recruiter/University Representative in Admission/Recruitment Services, a Senior Student Academic advisor in University College and Director of African American Student Services.  William received a Bachelors of Science degree in Health & PE from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK.  He also received a Masters of Education (Guidance & Counseling) from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX.

Tim Castillo

Tim B. Castillo is a tenured Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of New Mexico. He has been part of the School of Architecture and Planning faculty since 2002 and in 2009 became a member of the Interdisciplinary Film and Digital Media faculty.  In 2010 he was appointed as the Director of the Art, Research, Technology and Science Laboratory an interdisciplinary digital media laboratory at the University.  While at the University of New Mexico Professor Castillo has been pursuing new pedagogies that explore applications related to emerging digital technologies.  His architectural studios and seminars continue to investigate new progressive strategies for design that are defined by informatics, digital media and CAD/CAM processes.  In 2007, Professor Castillo was recognized by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) and the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) as the National New Faculty Teacher of the year.  Professor Castillo served as the undergraduate design coordinator in the architecture program from 2005-2010.  He was also the co-director of the international summer abroad program in Vico Morcote, Switzerland from 2003-2005.  In 2003, he was the coordinator of the “Next”-Digital Evolution’s Symposium and traveling exhibit.  In the fall 2006 he was co-coordinator of the Architecture, Film + Digital Media Symposium that focused on interdisciplinary research.  In 2009, he served as Co-chair of the ACSA [association of collegiate schools of architecture] Southwest regional conference entitled: Chang[e]ing Identities; Design, Culture + Technology.  Professor Castillo is the founder of Hybrid Environments, a critical design office that focuses on new technologies for architecture, research and design.  His work has been published and exhibited nationally and internationally in various locations including the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (Spain), Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland), Pavillon de l’Arsenal (France), Bienal of Sao Paulo (Brazil), University of Waterloo (Canada), University of Utah, University of Colorado, and the University of Texas-Arlington.

Don L. Chalmers

Don L. Chalmers has been a member of the University of New Mexico Board of Regents since  December 2005.  He owns auto dealerships in Rio Rancho, Santa Fe and Albuquerque. A member of numerous boards and commissions, Chalmers has served on the UNM Hospital Clinical Operations Board and the UNM Foundation. He also served on the NM Commission on Higher Education. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. 

Mary Clark

Mary Clark is currently the Staff Council President and has been a UNM employee since 1995.  She represents the staff of the Physical Plant Department and previously served as Staff Council Speaker (two terms) and President Elect.  In 2009, Mary opened the Office of Sustainability and has been instrumental in writing UNM's Climate Action Plan and educating students, staff, and faculty on the environmental benefits of energy conservation, recycling, green purchasing, alternative transportation and locally grown food.  She graduated from UNM, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and European Studies and is currently enrolled as a graduate student in the School of Public Administration.  Mary has lived in the Sycamore Neighborhood (adjacent to UNM) for 25 years and as a community member, staff, and student of UNM, she considers our contribution to education, the arts, the economy, health care, and scientific research to be vital to the state of New Mexico.

Andrew A. Cullen

Andrew A. Cullen joined UNM in 1989 and has served as the Associate Vice President of the Budget Office since 2008.  As Associate Vice President of the Office of Planning, Budget & Analysis, he oversees all fiscal aspects of the university’s investment and capital programs and Main Campus operations.  Prior to his current position, he worked closely in developing and implementing the University’s Capital Renewal Improvement Program.  Mr. Cullen received a B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting in 1986 and an M.A. in Landscape Architecture in 2005 from the University of New Mexico.

Jack L. Fortner - Chair

Jack L. Fortner is the President of the UNM Board of Regents, which he has served on since 1999.  Fortner is an attorney in Farmington, NM, where he has served as San Juan County Commissioner and an alternate municipal judge.  He received his bachelor’s in political science from UNM and his juris doctor from University of Michigan. 

David Gonzales

Dr. David Gonzales is the newly named Chief Medical Officer and Vice President for Medical Staff Services at the Sandoval Regional Medical Center.  A native New Mexican from Aztec, NM, Dr. Gonzales has been on the internal medicine faculty at the University of New Mexico since 1988.  Most recently, Dr. Gonzales served as the Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs and Executive Medical Director of Patient Safety/Quality Improvement in addition to caring for his patients at the UNM Hospital’s Family and Internal Medicine Clinic.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from New Mexico State University and his Medical Degree from Stanford University.  Dr. Gonzales completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.  He also received his MBA degree from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico.  His awards and honors include his selection as UNM School of Medicine faculty member of the month, a dean’s award of distinction, and a National Hispanic Medical Association Honor for Leadership in Improving the Health of Hispanics.  Dr. Gonzales is also a past president of the New Mexico Hispanic Medical Association, and is still active with that organization.

James H. Koch

James H. Koch has been a member of the University of New Mexico Board of Regents since January 2003.  He is president of Daniels Insurance in Santa Fe.  A former legislator, Koch was the original author of the Inspection of Records Act, the New Mexico equivalent of the national Freedom of Information Act that protects the rights of all people to access public information and records.  Koch has continued to remain active at the highest levels of New Mexico, serving as state chair of the Democratic Party in 2002 and as a key advisor to current and former Governors for four decades.  He received his bachelor's degree in education from UNM in 1959.

Paul Krebs

Paul Krebs is in his fifth year as the University of New Mexico’s 12th director of Athletics.  He began serving UNM on June 1, 2006.  Krebs was formerly director of athletics at Bowling Green State University.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from BGSU in 1978 and a master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Ohio State in 1981.  Krebs has been a part of President David Schmidly’s Executive Cabinet since the spring of 2007 when he was named Vice-President for Athletics.  Krebs has installed a diverse strategic plan – with short and long-range goals – that will position the University of New Mexico to be a major player in the challenging and competitive world of intercollegiate athletics. 

James Linnell

Jim Linnell is a writer, teacher, and director.  He received his graduate training at UC Berkeley (Ph.D. Directing).  He teaches in the Department of Theatre & Dance at the University of New Mexico.  His work has been performed here and abroad in Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Israel.  He helped establish the MFA degree in Dramatic Writing at UNM and the annual Words Afire Festival of new plays.  He is currently Interim Dean of the College of Fine Arts at UNM.  His last play Plunda, a bi-location play, was produced at UNM in two theatres simultaneously linked by video.  His book from Southern Illinois Press on Dramatic writing titled, Walking on Fire: The Shaping Force of Emotion in Writing Drama will be published this fall.

Sherman McCorkle

Sherman McCorkle is the charter Chairman and CEO of Sandia Science and Technology Park Development Corporation since its founding in 1998.  He served as Vice-Chairman of Sandia Corporation’s Investment Committee from 1994 until 2011.  He served as President and CEO of Technology Ventures Corporation (TVC) from its inception in 1993 until 2011.  Mr. McCorkle served as CEO and President of Sunwest Credit Services Corporation from 1988 to 1993.  He was the senior executive at Mesa Grande Bank Cards and Senior Vice –President of Albuquerque National Bank from 1976 to 1988.  In 1992 he co-founded First State Bank Corporation where he served as Charter Director until 1998.  In 1998 he co-founded New Mexico Bank & Trust where he currently serves as a Charter Director.

Barbara S. McCrady

Barbara S. McCrady, Ph.D. is a Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center on Alcoholism, Substance Abuse, and Addictions (CASAA), a Category III center at the University of New Mexico, where she has been on faculty since 2007.  Previously, she was the Chair of the Department of Psychology and Clinical Director of the Center of Alcohol Studies at Rutgers University.  At UNM, Dr. McCrady has served on the Provost’s Strategic Focus Academic Renewal Task Force, the Alcohol and Drug Policy (co-chair), the Research Budget Committee, and the Executive Research Advisory Committee (chair).  Dr. McCrady is internationally known for her work in empirically supported treatments for substance use disorders, with a particular focus on conjoint therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mutual help groups, and therapies for women. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 1979, and she currently has NIH research support and an NIH institutional research training grant that supports pre- and post-doctoral fellows.  She teaches graduate courses in the Psychology Department, and provides research training opportunities for undergraduates in her research lab.  Dr. McCrady is a Fellow of the Clinical Psychology and Addictions Divisions of the American Psychological Association (APA), is the President-Elect of the Research Society on Alcoholism (RSA), and has served as President of Division 50 (Addictions) of the APA, as member of the Board of Directors of the RSA, Secretary-Treasurer of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and chair of the board of directors of the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, a national, nonprofit research corporation. She has served on numerous NIH advisory and review committees, editorial boards for major journals in psychology and the addictions field, and currently is a senior editor for Addiction.  Dr. McCrady has published more than 225 refereed papers, chapters, and books.

Veronica Mendez-Cruz

Verónica Méndez-Cruz received her BSW from New Mexico State University and MA in Counseling and Guidance from UNM.  She has been employed at UNM for over 25 years and is the Director for El Centro de la Raza and Special Advisor to the President on Latino affairs.  In addition, she is affiliated with several community organizations.

Cedric D. Page

Cedric D. Page, Ph.D, is Executive Director and Professor of Geography at UNM-Los Alamos. He received a B.A. degree in Geography from Syracuse University and the M.A. and Ph.D. in Geography from Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey.  He has been active in the area of higher education policy and program development and has served on faculty and as an administrator at public and private, four- and two-year institutions of higher learning for over 40 years.  Dr. Page has served on the boards and committees of community, national, institutional, human service, educational and professional organizations.  His experience includes programs and consultancies in higher education accreditation, program development and evaluation, nonprofit board effectiveness, and strategic planning.  His current interests are in higher education accreditation processes; educational access; student, faculty, trustee and staff diversity; and regional economic development.

Katie Richardson

Katie Richardson is the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) President. The GPSA is a student-funded, student-staffed and student-governed organization that has been serving graduate and professional students at UNM since 1969.  Their goal is to enhance the academic and intellectual environment for the over six thousand grads at UNM and to promote the rights, interests and professional development of our students within the university community through advocacy, education and financial support.  Katie is pursuing her PhD in Physics & Astronomy.

Nancy Ridenour

Nancy Ridenour, PhD,APRN,BC,FAAN, is Dean and Professor of the University of New Mexico College of Nursing.  She was a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow with the Committee on Ways and Means in the US House of Representatives.  Prior to the health policy fellowship, she served as Dean and Professor of the College of Nursing at Illinois State University and Associate Dean at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.  Dr. Ridenour has held leadership positions in the American Nurses Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Public Health Association, the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Society of Primary Care Policy Fellows, the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  She is a certified family nurse practitioner, maintaining an active clinical practice.  She received Fulbright-Hays grants for study tours of China, and Egypt and Jordan.  She has consulted extensively on primary care and public health issues in South America, Asia, India, the Middle East, and, most recently, Cuba. The author of numerous journal articles and contributions to books, she has focused her career on health policy and improving primary health care for underserved populations.  Her awards include two National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships, a primary care policy fellowship from the U.S. Public Health Service, a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship, a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellowship, and induction into the American Academy of Nursing.

Patrick J. Rogers

Patrick J. Rogers is the Vice-President of Modrall, Sperling, Roehl, Harris and Sisk, PA, New Mexico’s largest law firm.  He graduated from UNM in 1977 (BA  Political Science) and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1982.  He serves on the Executive Committee of the New Mexico Foundation for Open Government and he is New Mexico’s National Committeeman to the Republican National Committee.  Pat served as General Counsel to the New Mexico Republican Party and he also represented United States Representatives Skeen, Schiff and Wilson, as well as former President George Bush, in various election related matters and lawsuits.  In his private practice, Pat has represented David Letterman, Ralph Nader, General Motors, Verizon, and many other individuals and businesses, in a variety of business and administrative proceedings.  In their spare time, Pat and his wife Julie (UNM BS  1976) are serious Lobo fans.  

Robert Rosebrough

Bob is a UNM alumnus ( BUS 1975 and JD 1978) who was born in Lovington and grew up in Farmington.  He moved to Gallup to practice law after graduating from UNM.  Bob is an active mountaineer and outdoorsman who authored a climbing guide to the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado and co-authored an outdoor guide to the Gallup area.  He has been deeply involved in the Gallup community and recently served as Mayor of Gallup.  Bob’s wife, Brenda, is a speech therapist for the Gallup Schools who received both her bachelors and masters degrees from UNM.  His son, Mark, is currently enrolled in the masters program for public administration at UNM.

Timothy J. Ross

Professor Ross is the current President of the UNM Faculty Senate.  He is a registered professional engineer with over 30 years experience in the fields of computational mechanics, hazard survivability, structural dynamics, structural safety, stochastic processes, risk assessment, and fuzzy systems.  He was awarded a prestigious J. William Fulbright Fellowship for study during his sabbatical leave at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Calgary, Alberta, for the 2001-2002 academic year.  He has BS, MS and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering from Washington State, Rice and Stanford Universities, respectively.  He has been an engineering educator at the University of New Mexico (UNM) since 1987.  Prior to 1987, Professor Ross conducted research for the US Defense Department in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and in Washington, DC.  Professor Ross is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal, Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems.  His textbook, Fuzzy logic with Engineering Applications, was the first classroom text for undergraduates in this field.  He has over 130 papers published in various journals and conference proceedings, and has edited or authored 4 books.  He was elected a Fellow in ASCE in 1992 and was bestowed with the UNM Regents' Lectureship title in 1993.

Jaymie L. Roybal

Jaymie L. Roybal is from Espanola, NM and is now a Senior at the University of New Mexico studying Political Science and Sign Language Interpreting. She is the President of the Associated Students of the University of New Mexico.  Throughout her college career, Jaymie has been involved with the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and Trailblazers. In addition to these organizations, Jaymie has spent her summers interning with the U.S. House of Representatives and studying abroad in Spain.  She was elected by the UNM students in April 2011.

Antoinette Sedillo Lopez

Professor Sedillo Lopez is a long time professor at the law school, where she served as Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs for eight years.  She has served on and chaired many committees, task forces and work groups at UNM over the years.  Some of these committees include:  Chair of the “Special Emphasis” subcommittee of the UNM Self Study for the last UNM accreditation review; Chair of the  Provost’s Hate Incidents Task Force; Provost’s Task Force on International Programs; and, the Faculty Senate Academic Freedom Committee.  Currently, she chairs both the Faculty Senate Governmental Relations Committee and the Law School Faculty Appointments Committee.  She has published and edited many academic articles and books, primarily in the areas of Family Law, Legal Education and Latino Studies.  She also enjoys non-academic writing, including poetry and law for non-lawyers.  She is also active in the community and currently serves on the Latino Education Task Force, and on the Boards of Enlace Comunitario, Southwest Women’s Law Center, and the Valley Improvement Association.  She is a member of the New Mexico Supreme Court’s Commission on Access to Justice. 

David Seely

David Seely has served as President and CEO of Kirtland Federal Credit Union in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1990.  The credit union has more than $580 million in assets, serves over 36 thousand members, and has been recognized with several significant awards from organizations such as the U.S. Air Force and Quality New Mexico.  His industry and community activities include serving as chairman of the CU Anytime, LLC and CU ATM Services, LLC, and on the boards of  Kirtland Partnership Committee (past chairman); as a member of the Commander’s Civic Leaders Group for the Air Education and Training Command (USAF); as a board member (past chairman), senior examiner, and judge for Quality New Mexico; as the immediate past chairman of the Economic Forum board; as a board member for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce as well as the Association for Commerce and Industry; as the president-elect of the Rotary Club of Albuquerque del Sol.  He is the past chairman of the New Mexico Ethics In Business Awards selection committee and past chairman and former board member of Roadrunner Food Bank.  Mr. Seely also serves as an Honorary Commander at Kirtland Air Force Base with various wing and group assignments over the past 12 years.  Mr. Seely was honored in 2008 by the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce with the Congressman Steve Schiff Kirtland Air Force Base Advocacy Award.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Utah and holds an MBA degree in Management from Amber University in Dallas, Texas.  He has been married for 34 years and has two grown sons. 

Jane Slaughter - Vice Chair

Jane Slaughter, Professor of History, Emeritus, served in the History Department as Chair (2001-2005), and from 2005-2007 as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences. In the Spring 2008 she was appointed as the Director for Research Initiatives in the Arts and Humanities in the Office of the Vice President for Research, and most recently has joined the staff of the Provost, as the Associate Provost for Academic Personnel.  Professor Slaughter has received a number of teaching awards including the Burlington Northern Award for Excellence in Teaching (1990), and in 1998 was named a UNM Presidential Teaching Fellow, a lifetime award for excellence in teaching.  Her university service is quite extensive and includes chairing the Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee several times, and then chairing the search committee for the Provost of the University in 1992-1993, and again in 2005-2006. A significant part of her service has focused on equity issues in both hiring and personnel policies.

Mary Torres

Ms. Torres is a thirteenth generation native New Mexican who received her bachelor’s degree from New Mexico Tech in 1983, and was named a Tech Scholar.  She was an educator in her hometown of Socorro, New Mexico, at Socorro High School for six years before attending law school at the University of New Mexico, where she received her Juris Doctor degree in 1992. Ms. Torres primarily handles civil litigation matters, and has extensive experience in civil rights, employment, insurance, premises liability and governmental liability related matters.  She has jury and bench trial experience in both State and Federal Courts.  She is a member of Beall & Biehler Law Firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Ms. Torres is very active in bar activities on a state and national level.  She was named Outstanding Young Lawyer for New Mexico in 1995, and she received recognition for her bar activities by receiving an award for Distinguished Bar Service in 2011, Outstanding Contribution to the Bar in 1996, and receiving the University of New Mexico Zia Award in 2003.  Ms. Torres was President of the State Bar of New Mexico in 2002, and President of the National Conference of Bar Presidents in 2009.  She is currently the co-chair of the State Bar of New Mexico’s Committee on Diversity, is quite active in the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association.

Alberto M. Pimentel - Search Consultant

Alberto M. Pimentel has led and managed hundreds of search assignments for a variety of public and private universities and colleges, non-profit organizations, and governmental agencies over the course of the past 16 years. He has successfully recruited candidates for both academic and administrative positions for university systems as well as individual campuses. His experience includes conducting searches for Chancellors, Presidents, Provosts, Vice Presidents, Academic Deans, Executive Directors, Directors and Managers across all functional areas.

Mr. Pimentel was a Vice President in the Education and Non-Profit Practices of A.T. Kearney Executive Search. Previously, Mr. Pimentel was a search consultant in the Education Practice of Witt, Kieffer, Ford, Hadelman & Lloyd and a Principal in the Los Angeles office of Korn/Ferry International, working in that firm’s Education and Non-Profit Practice.  In his early career, Mr. Pimentel was a teacher, counselor, teacher advisor and program coordinator for the Los Angeles Unified School District

Mr. Pimentel is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Don Bosco Technical Institute and the California State University-Los Angeles ACCESS Center Advisory Board.  Mr. Pimentel is an active participant in several community organizations in the Los Angeles area.
